Employ-Ability: Employment Support (for the unemployed)

Employment support for the unemployed. Employ-Ability is a specialist employment support charity working with people experiencing physical disabilities and mental ill health. Our Employment Support mission is to help people with mental ill health to get into and keep employment. We work in the best interests of our users by mentoring, encouraging and supporting them to achieve their full potential in their working lives. We champion good mental health in the workplace by working in partnership with employers to assist them to provide support for our clients.

We provide a free service across West and South Essex and accept referrals from a range of sources such as Healthy Minds, GPs, Employers, the Job Centre, Access & Assessment, and Psychology, as well as taking self-referrals.

Who can use this service?

This service is available for anybody who is unemployed and currently suffering with a Mental or Physical Disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010.

How are services delivered?

Individuals will work with a dedicated Employment Specialist who will offer 1:1 Support to help them to find and retain suitable employment that meets their needs.
