The Daily Bread Cafe
The Daily Bread Café is a welcoming community project based at St Peter’s Church in Hutton, Brentwood. It offers a café, food hub, community larder/supermarket and a range of community support activities. The service helps local residents access food, social connection, advice and practical support in a friendly, inclusive setting. Additional activities may include welfare advice, employment support, creative sessions, community police contact, homeless referrals and emergency food parcels.

The Daily Bread Café supports the local community through a combination of food provision, café sessions, community activities and practical support. Residents can access the Food Hub, Daily Bread Café and Community Larder/Supermarket during advertised opening times.
The service also provides or hosts a range of community activities and support sessions, including morning prayer, colouring club, knitting club, dementia carer support, Peabody drop-ins, digital support, NHS employability support, Little Fishes parent/carer and pre-schooler sessions, and a monthly Saturday café.
The team may also be able to help people connect with wider support, including benefits and welfare advice, employment support, community police contact, homeless referrals, emergency food parcels and creative workshops. Availability of activities may vary, so residents and professionals are encouraged to check social media or email Daily Bread for up-to-date information.
Who can use this service?
The service is open to local residents and members of the community who would benefit from food support, a welcoming café space, social connection, community activities or practical advice and support. All are welcome.
How are services delivered?
Services are delivered face to face from St Peter’s Church, Claughton Way, Hutton, Brentwood, CM13 1JS. The café, food hub and community larder/supermarket run on set days and times as drop-in sessions. Enquiries can also be made by email at dailybread@huttonparish.com.
